Inviting all up-and-coming bands and solo artists of all genres, no matter how extreme, mainstream or experimental, to check out the Best Music Video and Best Song contests currently going on at www.MakeAStar.com

Some may remember our name from earlier this year, when our website aired 13 episodes on Fuse television for our Original Music Contest. This contest was a great success and we helped expose a lot of new artists to the national spotlight.

This summer we're keeping things going on a smaller scale, holding net-only contests for Best Music Video, where 8 contestants compete in weekly bracket matches to determine a $100 winner, and artists who don't have a stellar video can compete in 4 contestant bracket matches with their mp3, wav or wma files for a chance at $50. Best Song is divided up between male solo artists, female solo artists, and duos or bands.

All contests are entirely free to enter, so there's nothing to lose, and the exposure and attention all artists receive helps makes everyone a winner.

Last year my mom bought the tickets online for me and my twp friends and had my friends pay her back the day of the concert, but Mom said that this year she might want to have us buy tickets at the gate since it's cheaper and she won't have to worry about my friends paying her back. I, on the other hand, was thinking that I could get my friends to buy their own tickets online this year and have my mom buy mine, that way we get the tickets in advance and we don't have to worry about my mom being paid back. I just wanted some outside opinions. Do you think I should talk to my friends and have them purchase their own tickets online this year, or should we just go with my mom's idea and have all three of us pay at the door?

I want to draw but I feel so...uninspired. I hate this. I hate them. I hate myself.
